your passion for the environment? LyoniaEnvironmental Center (LEC), located in Deltona, FL, is looking for a part time
gift shop attendant, and nature ambassador!
This position will primarily work in the LEC gift
shop and also assist with programming, helping LEC staff with researching
program information, interpreting exhibits in the nature center, answering questions,
and being a part of a team of people who love what they do, love nature, and
love sharing that with others! We are
looking for someone who wants to join our team, who is willing to learn new
things, meet new people, and have a good time while doing it!
Hours:
27 hours/week (although additional hours may occasionally be available,
depending on needs of LEC)
Friday 9:00
am – 5:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Monday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
Salary: $8.50/hour
Requirements:

Minimum 18 years of age.
·
Minimum of 2 years or more of retail and cash
handling experience (hospitality/restaurant experience counts too!).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·
Experienced in a gift shop setting, including
accurately handling monetary transactions, working with gift shop inventory
(including monthly inventory counts and floor changes), greeting and
interacting with guests of all ages (infants through seniors, and all of those
in-between!).

Work with a smile, be upbeat and cheerful!
·
Self starter and work independently, but also be
able to work with other staff on projects as needed.
·
Knowledge of a basic cash register as well as
POS computer program.
·
Ability to work with Excel and Word, as well as
be able to navigate the Internet.
·
Be willing to answer questions regarding the
exhibit gallery, nature preserve and trails, education programs and upcoming
events.
